ITUNES HOME SHARING

What is and how to do iTunes home sharing!

iTunes Home Sharing has been created to enable you to conveniently share your iTunes media libraries among maximum five computers in your household.
iTunes Home Sharing can also be used to play your iTunes media on any of your iOS devices as well as Apple TV if they happen to be networked to your Wi-Fi network. So this in effect means that you can now stream or transfer your favorite media to five computers in your house.

For this to come into effect, all you need to do is to turn on home sharing on each of the computer assigned for iTunes Home sharing.
After it is set up, the libraries that have been permitted to be on home sharing will be displayed in the “shared’ section of iTunes.

With this facility, we can even simply drag music from one computer to another within the network. The home sharing can be even extended to streaming of all media to all other iOS device and Apple TV.
All you have to do for this purpose is to turn on home sharing on all these devices. On your Wi- Fi network, you will also need to use the same Apple ID on every device.
Apple’s iOS 4.3 version or a higher version is required to enable Home sharing. The home sharing also works when you try to stream ripped (or not purchased from iTunes) video content.

Remember that when you enable iTunes Home Sharing on your computer, you will need to use the same Apple ID and password for all devices that you want to share it with.
